During all training sessions, the safety of our participants comes first. Of course, we remember that it is very important to have a great time and if you decide to spend time with Tramontana team you will certainly not get bored. All of our instructors or animators are licensed to practice. Our staff is experienced, we always try to approach the students as individually as it is possible. We provide training in English, Croatian, German and Polish.

WINDSURFING

It’s pure madness – the joy of freedom given by sailing is hard to describe. You just need to try it. It’s also a very technical sports discipline, so anyone can try it. We train even five-year-old kids.

First steps

Do you want to stand on a sailboard for the first time? – there’s nothing easier! Tramontana’s base in Omiš is the perfect place. After learning about the basics of balancing on the board there comes a time for the first attempts with a pushing propeller and simple turns. After mastering the control of equipment, you will be able to sail on your own even in weak wind conditions. On average it takes 3 to 5 hours of lessons to master such basics.

A little more than just the basics

More dynamic turns, sailing in a waist harness. First use of faster equipment and more difficult conditions, “beach start”. All these elements are a preparation for the first glides on a windsurfing board.

First slides

It’s time to proceed with really quick surfing on the board. The first semi-hydroplanes, and then glides, will allow you to enter the next level in windsurfing. Anyone who’s ever felt the speed of planing sailing even once wants to come back to this feeling  whenever they can.

Planing

Several subsequent skills are needed for planing to become really confident. At this point, you will learn how to get into stirrups, how to control the board, and how to fully use the harness during sailing at high speeds, as well as how to properly close the sail – so it would catch wind as effectively as possible.

Acrobatic manoeuvres in planing

A swift stay and a stern when planing will let you have great fun, even on wavy water. After mastering these skills, you won’t stress over that you “probably should have done a jibe”. Another thing that will let you upgrade to a higher level and at the same time, will be an introduction to more complicated acrobatic manoeuvres is the simple jump, which is the next adrenaline shot.

Light wind Freestyle

Windsurfing provides great fun even to advanced surfers in weak wind conditions. Light breeze tricks teach flexibility on the board, but are also the subsequent skills in the windsurfer’s assortment. Of course, people around won’t take their eyes off of you.

SUP

If you want your movements to be as ergonomic and safe for your locomotor system as possible, use the assistance of the Tramontana instructor. These classes will eliminate any detailed mistakes that may creep into your movements.
